The BioCube 29 Gallon has a Coralife compact fluorescent lighting fixture with dual integrated cooling fans and a lunar blue LED moon lighting system--each with their own separate power cords for individual timing. I've used Coralife light fixtures in the past and have only had good experiences, so I can't say anything bad about them. From what I hear and have experienced, Coralife is a pretty good and reliable brand. The LED moon lighting system is great for viewing nocturnal behavior in your nano reef at night without disturbing the aquarium's inhabitants, and I've heard that people with mated pairs of clownfish have even gotten them to breed because of the LED moon light. Pretty cool.

Also included and hidden away in the hood is an enhanced filtration system with dual intakes for optimum water filtration and circulation. A 2-stage filter cartridge provides mechanical filtration, and a bio-ball trickle filter system improves gas exchange in the aquarium and provides a source of biological filtration. So, you have your three methods of filtration included right with the BioCube. And, when included with an ample supply of live rock, you'll have more than enough filtration to keep your aquarium clean and clear.
